I’m sure you’ve seen all those ads for a free gift card from BestBuy, Walmart, Target, Ikea, even restaurant chains offer them. They are all over the place, in fact we have a list here to your left, in the side bar.

But aren’t they just all scams?

In a word NO!…They may be confusing and annoying, with their myriad of surveys and offers and their different “terms of service”. But this is where a smart person can turn the tables on these advertising companies. They make these cards difficult to get because, lets face it, they don’t want to give away $100s if not $1000s of dollars to just one person. So they make the maze a little hard to navigate for the occasional internet surfer.

The fact of the matter, however, is that every one of these free gift card offers are real, wanna know why? Because if the FTC were to find out that Walmart was scamming people what do you think would happen. Well, first they would probably fine Walmart and their ad agency millions of dollars, but what is worse is the bad publicity Walmart, or anyone else offering free gift cards, would end up getting. News spreads fast in the world of iPhones, Blackberries and the internet.

Why they have a bad name?

Well, they’ve been labeled scams basically because the people participating in the offers go into it with the wrong mentality. I mean do you really think Ikea is going to give you $1,500 of free stuff just for you email address?. If you’re that naive, I have a beautiful bridge in Brooklyn to sell you, very cheap!!.

In order for you to get your free card, you need to participate in some promotional offers. These offers could be anything from signing up for a free offer or newsletter, for example, trying out a free trial for a product to buying a $20 lotion. The companies who offer these free cards, get paid a commission, every time you complete a promotional offer. That’s how they can give out free gift cards and free gifts.

So How do you Make Money with Free Gift Cards?

Simple. Just read the “terms” and the “participation required link” after you put in your email address and complete the requirements. There are usually plenty of free offers you can complete. Like I said, occasionaly you will have to complete an offer that might cost you $20 or $30, but if you’re getting a $1000 gas card, what’s the big deal, so you’re making $980 profit instead of a thousand, its still found money. Plus you can cancel any offer that has recurring billing once you get your gift card.

There are people out there getting free Flat Screen Tvs and free $1000 gift card every week. Once they get the card or the product they sell them on ebay, or if the card is not transferable, like a BestBuy card maybe, they go to BestBuy, pick up $500 of free stuff, video games and consoles work best, and then sell them on ebay or even Craigslist. People are making a living doing this.

The one thing you definitely need to do though, is keep very good records of the offers you participate in, phone numbers and addreses, as well as any money, if at all, you spent on any offers.

Stay on the look out for a detailed guide that I’ll be giving away for free, as well as all the Free Offers you’ll ever need to make money, right from this site!
